My Approach
Therapy sessions with me look different depending on who is in the room. For my clients age 6 and under, I typically have the caregiver in the room throughout the session, whereas I usually meet individually with older children.
I use a combination of approaches during sessions, including psychodynamic therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and play therapy. I draw on a variety of skills I've acquired over my fourteen years in clinical practice which have spanned across a range of therapeutic settings - homes, schools and outpatient therapy clinics - to help my clients make impactful changes.
When working with children or child-parent dyads, I use an attachment framework and my knowledge of child development to identify areas of strength and vulnerability and develop recommendations and a treatment plan.
My primary clinical focuses are infant and early childhood mental health and development, maternal mental health, parent-child attachment, and managing child anxiety/stress response.
